As days progress and ads and speeches come hot off the press, things are really beginning to heat up between the 2 major parties. Republicans are blaming democrats and, of course, democrats are calling republicans hypocrites. All the arguing and blaming is over one thing and that is the oil spill.
Now, all of the new campaign ads are about voting for the republican because of the fact that the shores of the gulf are being threatened due to "Obama's incompetence." Then you have the democrats responding with the fact that all of the oil problems root to the beginning started by the republicans.
The fact of the matter is it is an oil spill. It is not something that someone did on purpose to cause an economic disaster and a political catastrophe. Republicans should not be bashing Obama and his fellow democrats. If a republican was president right now, it could be easily said that they wouldn't approach it any better.
In an interview with POLITICO, Obama stated, "I think it’s fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government over-regulation and wasteful spending."
If you don't think that Obama makes an incredible point there then you need to study more politics. If Obama would of said 'Let's scrounge up some cash just in case of any economical disaster' six months ago, republicans would have laughed so hard and would have just looked at Obama with rolling eyes.
So, I don't want to hear it. Republicans have no right for bashing Obama's slow involvement with the oil spill because we all know Bush had his 'moments' during his 8 years in office, and it's a SPILL AKA an ACCIDENT. Britain doesn't hate America that much. All in all; who's to blame? It's a simple answer, NO ONE!
